| Both Petri Toscani and Avanti cigars are Italian style dry cigars. Avanti cigars are anisette flavoured cigars and are quite unique. Mention the word "Italy" and all the usual associations come to mind: Ferrari, Valentino, Vespa, Loren, Armani, Michaelangelo, Venice, Florence, Rome, olive oil, pasta, vino--a veritable panoply of people, places and things that bear the unmistakably sensuous stamp of the "Belpaese." But if there is one item that would be missing from everyone’s list of their favorite Italian things, chances are it would be "Il Toscano," the Tuscan, the code word for the cigar enjoyed all over Italy--so much so, in fact, that as late as 1995, 99.5% of all cigars smoked in Italy were the Tuscan variety. |
