6mm pipe filters are a simple filter designed to remove moisture and some tar from pipe smoke. The filter is made of rolled waxy paper and is a bit larger than the size of a pipe cleaner. These have been standardized by the pipe manufacturers so any brand of filter labeled 6mm, will fit the same as another, though they do not all share the same properties.
Please be aware, there are other filter sizes and types. The other most common types are 9mm filters (typically charcoal) and Brigham Maple Rock filters. These will not fit a pipe designed for a 6mm filter, and vice versa. Savinelli's Balsa wood filters are available in a 6mm size and would fit. These other filters are listed separately. Please note, many pipes do not accept a filter at all.
