This highly rated and well received cigar is rolled in Mexico by Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos.

Featuring rich notes of cocoa, coffee, leather, and a subtle black cherry sweetness this cigar is noted for its consistency and great quality control.

The robusto vitola in this line was named to Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 cigars of 2016 and received an impressive 94-rating.

The Casa Turrent blend was the first release by Alejandro Turrent bearing the Casa Turrent branding, and delivered a cigar of quality that forced a shift in how cigars produced in Mexico we're viewed.

Despite overseeing the largest tobacco harvest in Central America, supplying high grade tobacco to almost every highly regarded cigar house you can imagine, even aiding Cuba on crop tending, Alejandro couldn't overcome the culture presumption that a cigar rolled in Mexico was often looked down upon.

Until the 1901 blend was released and delivered the flavour profile of a Padron, while showcasing the Turrent's highly prized San Andres Maduro wrapper, and utilizing Nicaraguan tobaccos alongside Mexican to create a praise worthy, upper echelon cigar.

Since the turning point this cigar represents, the positive reception it received has allowed Alejandro Turrent to build a wide offering of premium cigars, and rewrote the negative presupposition of a Mexican crafted cigar.
