The Balsa wood captures more moisture and impurities than a basic paper filter, but less than a charcoal filter. The 6mm size is a great option to upgrade your paper filter.
Each filter is recommended for 3 to 4 pipe bowls.
Please be aware, there are other filter sizes and types. Most common are 9mm filters (typically charcoal), and Brigham Maple Rock filters. They will not fit a pipe designed for a 6mm filter, and vice versa. These other filters are listed separately. Please note, many pipes do not accept a filter at all.
