From the importer Brigham: Rattray's Stirling Flake is a strong Virginia flake, backed by muscular Burley and dark, smoke-cured Kentucky tobaccos. A complex, very strong, full flavour and creamy blend, this expertly crafted mixture results in a solid but nuanced flavour with plenty of kick.
After studying and blending tobacco for years, Charles Rattray opened up The House of Rattray in Perth, Scotland in 1903. The success of the shop shot forward at an incredible rate, and in no time at all Charles and his tobacco blends became the go-to for serious pipe smokers across the British Isles. To this day, many of these blends rank among the best in the world.
